Canada's Health Care "IMPLODING"

Monday, August 17, 2009

Dr. Anne Doig, the incoming president of the Canadian Medical Association, said her country’s health care system is “sick” and “imploding,” the Canadian Press reported.

Now only if the liberals would read, think and realize the wrongness of this health care bill!

By the way, Hi!

Some are. There was a recent article in Salon.com by Camile Paglia asking why the big rush to get this garbage passed.

But she's probably the exception to the rule. All the others are lining up for their Kool-Aid refills.

Although this is mildly interesting, no one in the US is actually proposing the Canadian system, so I do not see how this piece of news is relevant to our healthcare debate.

Ah, comon' 'Lizabeth! You know President Obama's health care is patterned after the European and Canadian system. Canada's head just repeated what everyone knows but, liberals won't admit. Socialist medicine is single payer and developed to put private companies out of business.

I had discovered that some of the commercials that "interviewed" some Canadians regarding their healthcare system were swindled. They were not given accurate information on what they were being interviewed about according to Rachel's show last week, which I'm sure you will find on her website.

Godspeed.

C'mon Anonymous,

I believe Rachel's unbiased about as much as you are a listener of Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin!. Swindled, Oh pleeeeeaaaasssssee! Were they bused to the station like the ACORN people were to President Obama's "townhall"?

Anyway we are getting far off the subject of health care for Americans and the current bill that sort of, kind of, ah .....has been drafted by the Dems in Congress. A new post coming tomorrow regarding the meat of the matter.

you're asking too much there Pops.

Obama did not propose single-payer. Single-payer was proposed by Dennis Kucinich and some other Members of Congress some time ago in HR 676, but that didn't go anywhere. Single payer is not part of Obama's proposal.

@Pops-
As I have mentioned before in my previous comments, health care needs reform. Whether it is passed now or later, it IS going to happen. One last point is that I understand that when I provide some type of opinion, you request some proof in the pudding and lately I've been doing just that. Granted, things have been getting off topic, but I'm still providing the proof, whether it's Rachel's site or CNN; www.cnn.com/healthcare
No need to imply that I'm not doing my part and my fact-finding-measures are wrong since they happen to swing a certain direction, just as yours swing to the right.

Have you had the opportunity to check out her site regarding the Canadians being swindled into thinking one thing and pushed into something else that they were unfamiliar with? I know that she backs her stuff up and will most likely be there. So, whether she's biased or not, she does have the proof there.

@Mighty Mom-
We've been thinking ever since we were thrown into the Iraq War that cost the country millions. Now that health care reform is coming NOW, all of a sudden, the conservatives are concerned about the price. Why wasn't that brought up during the billions of dollars and thousands of lives lost for a war in Iraq over someone from Saudi Arabia?

Elizabeth, I stand corrected. You are right. President Obama did not purpose a single payer system. He purposed no system at all. He left it up to Nancy, Harry and Rahl to do the dirty work while trying to keep his hands clean.

He is on record as stating he is for the public option, has campaigned for the public option, and retracted from his "won't sign any bill without public option". That is undeniable!

Harry,

I do not disagree with you. I am certain that Rachel has the facts, as convoluted as they might be, to back up her statements. The current Republicans, most of them IMHO, would do the same thing. They have the facts to back up what they say.

Regarding you comment to MM on the cost of the War in Iraq I would like to suggest you review the UN record leading up the beginning of the war. This would show you how many times Sadam basically told them to "shove it!". I would also remind you 88 Senator voted for the war resolution. Some of them just had to be liberals and Democrats. I will give you the 90 day wonder boy, currently President Obama, did vote against the resolution and is being somewhat consistent.

You know, I really don't have a problem with everyone having health insurance. What I have a problem is paying for it for someone who is to lazy to work and pay their own way. Now having said that please someone tell me a government entitlement program that runs efficiently, effectively and is cost effective. Medicare? Medicaid? Social Security? Cash for Clunkers?

Lutheran Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Destruction of the embryo in the mother's womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed upon this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder.
