Is Barack REALLY a U.S. Citizen

A story that continues to haunt this administration is the one about whether President Obama is really a natural born American. It reminds me of John Kerry's military record. If you have it why don't you show it and put this story to rest. Well I am not a conspiracy fan however, I would feel more comfortable knowing somehow President Obama is legally the President of our country.

For the full story clik on World Net Daily, now!

Have a nice day.

Pops, help an old sub sailor out okay?

I've been going along with the idea that as long as one of B.O.'s parents was American, he was also.

Evidently a lot of folk don't buy into that. Care to enlighten my dumb butt? Thanks.

ABNPOPPA said...

Subvet,

Good point however, I believe the issue is he was not born on American soil and fathered by a non-American. Unlike military children who may be born overseas on or off base to American parents. I shall research further and get back to you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Subvet,

Quietly stolen from WiseGeek.com. I did the Sandy Burger thing. I stuffed the little bytes down my pants and into my socks.

fact* #2: In order to be a "natural born citizen," you must be born in the United States or, if you are born abroad, you *can* (if specific circumstances are met) inherit citizenship status from your parents. If he was born abroad, then that's a problem for Barack Hussein Obama because his father was *not* a citizen of the United States and his mother had not lived in the United States the required amount of time after attaining the age of majority when Obama was born - meaning *she could not* pass her citizenship on to Obama.

That my good friend I believe is the issue.

Pops, and also Subvet,
from what I've read and researched on BarryHuss' birth, your second comment above is essentially correct, Pops--
That since Stanley Anne was only 18 for too-short-a time before giving birth to little Barack, WHEREVER, his nationality would be either:
a) the nation where he was born, or
b) the same as his father's.

In neither case, is controversial leader Barry Obama a legal resident of the United States.

this according to Hawai'ian state law at that time, 1961.

There IS serious and valid reason to question his authenticity for his office today, and likewise,

Serious and valid reasons for Obama to hide the truth, if indeed, it is as we suspect.

Let me just add, that I hope that this Kenyan Birth certificate is real, and USEFUL.

Okay Pops and LMC, that goes a long way towards educating yours truly. Thanks for the enlightenment. NOW I understand what the kerfluffle is all about!

Of course, there are other issues involved also, such as: Under what country's passport did he travel to Pakistan when he was 20 years old, at a time when it was against U.S. Law for Americans to travel to Pakistan. Is it possible that he was using an Indonesian Passport? But then he would have to have been a citizen of Indonesia to have an Indonesian passport.

When his mother divorced Obama Sr., she married guy named Sotoro, an Indonesian citizen, who took Obama's mother and Obama back to Indonesia where he adopted Obama. O n Obama's school records from Indonesia, he is listed as a citizen of Indonesia and a Muslim. Indonesia does NOT allow for dual citizenship, and Obama could not have gone to school in Indonesia unless he held Indonesian citizenship.

My understanding is Obama was born in Hawaii and his mother was an American citizen. I haven't extensively investigated the issue, but it stands to reason that in an extremely competitive Presidential race following an extremely competitive Democratic Primary, if Obama was not a US citizen, someone would have figured this out a long time ago.

ABNPOPPA said...

Welcome home Elizabeth!

I hope your trip was good and a success for what its intended purpose was. Regarding President Obama's point of origin. I am not a conspiracy nut and like you have not investigated this issue. I only make the point if he were to produce the "Certificate of Live Birth" from the hospital signed by the delivering doctor this would all go away. Why would HE NOT produce it?

Thanks, the trip was for sightseeing and I saw a lot of sights, so I guess it was a success. I highly recommend visiting Berlin; it is a great place to learn or re-learn history. The people are polite and the city is clean and there is construction going on, all this despite having socialized medicine.

I don't know, and I don't care, about Obama's birth certificate. I don't see why we require people to be born here. My brother was born in another country and I do not see how this should make him less of a US citizen than I am. I think we should amend the Constitution in this regard.

I stumbled across your site.

FACT- President Obama's birth certificate was presented a while back. It specifically says that he was born in Hawaii.

FACT- Senator John McCain was born in the Panama Canal: why wasn't he put through this scrutiny? Sure, the Panama Canal was possibly considered a US territory temporarily, but still, it's not a STATE like the state of Hawaii.

I appreciate your viewpoints. However, let's make sure we're calling spades, spades.

Godspeed.

To Anonymous: You wrote;

"FACT- President Obama's birth certificate was presented a while back. It specifically says that he was born in Hawaii."

Sorry, Obama NEVER presented a valid birth certificate. What he presented was a "certificate of live birth", which is not the same as a birth certificate. It did not give the name of the hospital he was born in, it did not give the name of the attending doctor, etc.,

The State of Hawaii allowed for parents of children born else where, including in foreign countries, to apply for and receive a certificate of live birth.

You also wrote:

The Senate DID do an investigation to determine if John McCain was Constitutionally eligible. They rightly concluded that since both his parents were citizens of the U.S., and since his father was stationed on a U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone, he WAS a natural born U.S. citizen. No such investigation has ever been done into Obama. The Senate and the courts have refused to even look into it, they just took his word that he was born in Hawaii.

If he is telling the truth that he was born in Hawaii, then why won't he put this argument to rest by producing a valid vault form birth certificate? If he was born in Hawaii, then how is it that neither he nor his half sister knows what hospital he was born in? And why won't he release any of his school or college records?

You cannot blame people for wanting some kind of proof positive if he keeps everything secret, because it looks like he is hiding something. Under the present circumstances, there seems to be more evidence on the side of his NOT being constitutionally qualified.

@Most Rev- I respect the fact that you are a "birther." Oddly enough, after reading this blog, I went to google.com and did a search on Obama's birth certificate and believe it or not, it was on there! Senator McCain's and former governor Palin's are as well.

I'm saddened by the fact that some conservatives give others a bad name by becoming racist and developing these "stories" to mask their real motives. Trust me, I know that there are plenty of liberals out there who give me a bad name.

Thank you for stopping by. You should become a follow. We here at Conservative Outrage are open to good discussion and debate. We don't argue only give our point of view often backed up with fact. Get yourself a handle and join in. Our resident liberal/Democrat (?) Elizabeth is a wonderful blogger and keeps us, Conservatives on our toes. I am sure she would like some backup. Not she doesn't do very, very well herself.

Oh, by the by would you be so kind as to send me the web site where you got the "Birth Certificates" My followers know if I make a mistake I like to correct it. Thanks

Thanks for stopping by.

Elizabeth,
I'm glad your trip was a success and you had a good time. When I was in Germany the wall was still up and I was not allowed to visit Berlin. I do hear it is a beautiful city, despite having socialized medicine. LOL I don't remember who was responsible for "the wall" coming down. Can you help me on that?

If your 401K went up during the Clinton years with Bill in office and it stayed there during the Bush years,.....shouldn't it be going up now?

Anyway, glad your back. Welcome home

Huh, I thought that people who state the President Obama isn't a citizen would have at least done what millions of 18 year olds do on a daily basis; check it on Google. Unfortunately, I believe that it has more to do with race rather than Obama's ideas.

FDR spent money to get out of the Great Depression and he was called much worse than anything Obama has been called thus far, unless one is Rush and calling him racial slurs.

My main concern is negative, mob action towards the health care bill, especially since the verbal spewage appears to be so race driven.

How was the woman's "America" changing so much that she was brought to tears? I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but our country changes daily and perhaps she needs to reflect back on GWB's presidential career and do some research on the billions of dollars spent, which is why we are where we are today.

Finally, I have once again did a Google search (I've been doing that a lot lately) and also discovered that I can read and print the health care bill that was proposed by President Obama. Once again, it will not break seniors, it will not make people change their current insurance companies, and it will not determine if you have pre-existing conditions to leave you high and dry. It simply gives the people a choice, just like Burger King does to Wendy's which does to McDonald's. Healthy competition is always good for the soul.

Finally, unemployment has gone down for the first time in 9 months, which is a shining light in this dismal economy albeit a small glow. If there could be one wish it would be that the mobs who are out there blasting everything the dems are doing would simply seek out what is REALLY going on.

@Elizabeth-
Like yourself, my 401K and other investments skyrocketed when Clinton was president and flatlined or declined when GWB was in office. I'm just wondering when the scare-tactics will end and we get to the nitty gritty.

Sorry for making this so long, but I felt that it needed to be said.

Godspeed.

My children were born abroad to two parents of American citizenship. However, since they have not lived in the US enough years to pass that citizenship on to their children, if they are born abroad to a non American.
I have grown nephews who are American but lived in Venezuela and married Venezuelan women. They either have to take their wives to the states to deliver or go to court and have the children nationalized. It's the law for the rest of us, why not Obama????

@Jungle Mom
The steps to run for President is pretty vigorous. For the lay man, like me, I would assume that it would be similar to the hassle at the DMV since I have never run for office nor would I want to. Perhaps we should be shoveling our complaints to the members of the government prior to Obama's victory and ask them the steps they took to prove that ALL candidates were given birth certificates.

I had recently tried to apply for a federal job and the size of the application was about the size of War and Peace. The background checks that are given take MONTHS (90 days). It is ridiculous and I just wanted to fill out an application for a job since I lost mine.

A friend of mine, who is an American citizen currently lives in the Baltics. Once he turned 18, it was his choice on what he wanted his citizenship to be.

Finally, Senator John McCain had also gone through the same thing according to @Most Rev Gregori. I'm sure that it was the same vigorous investigation that Obama went through. If President Obama was of a different race, would the same thing be coming up? Did Clinton, GWB, GHWB, JFK, Nixon, etc go through this? Why now? Just asking is all...

Godspeed, friend.

Nice to see you back. Good discussion is what this blog is about and it appears we have some going here. Two issues:
1. I asked you for the web site you went to for President Obama's birth certificate. You haven't provide it as of yet.

2. You "assume" everyone went through the same investigation. I was always taught NOT to assume anything. And Pleeeeaaaasssseee, this is not a race issue and don't try to make it into one.

Elizabeth, I applaud your desire to change the Constitution to allow non-American born to run for the presidency. That is the proper way to do it. Not run a non-American first and perhaps, only perhaps, cover up the illegal act of non-citizenship.

You can find President Obama's birth certificate here:
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/06/obama-birth.html

You can find Senator McCain's birth certificate here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x6207233

As for my assumption, my father was in politics ever since I was a youngin. I can speak for the investigations that were conducted on him.

As for the race issue, if you check out this video from the Rachel Maddow show, one can only assume that it is in fact turning into a race issue:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/#32211930

I would like to point out that I do NOT believe that YOU are making it into a race issue, but there are people out there who obviously are. (The video above explicitly shows that)

Godspeed, friends.

Anonymous,

Thank you for the web sites. I will check them out later. As for the Rachel Maddow Show, you would have been better to have posted someone who is not from " Air America". Most Conservatives consider it as a spin-off from Areanna Huffington and George e Soros. We both know how far to the left they are.
I do not know the President therefore I will not comment on what some call his racial comments. I was however impressed with Mellisa Harris of Princeton. I believe she summed it up very well when she explained how black and white people perceived the Hurricane Katrina response. Two cultures, two entirely different views.

@Pops-
I understand your concerns about Rachel; to conservatives, I'm sure she is considered the devil. However, her video clip mentioned in my previous comment will show that these are not solely HER viewpoint. MSNBC had gathered clips from conservative personalities who call him some not-so-nice things.

As for the President, I personally do not know him. Quite frankly, I do not think that I've known ANY President since I've been born. However, one thing is certain, when Rev. Jessie Jackson can say some of the most outrageous things about him prior to his presidency should say something about the cultural viewpoints.

Have you had the opportunity to read the New Yorker's artile on Obama in their controversial issue? It's pretty good and I've included the link below:

http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/07/21/080721fa_fact_lizza

I understand the comment regarding the Hurricane Katrina response. However, since I was not physically there nor have I ever lived there, I cannot derive an accurate opinion. However, I agree; Melissa's summarization was well done.

As for Arianna Huffington, what I find amazing about her is that she was as conservative as them came when all of a sudden, she ran to the left. Safe to say, there are supporters on both sides of the spectrum here.

Thanks, Pops for posting these articles. It allows me to review my own opinions and engages us on some healthy conversation. I wish you the best and keep the articles coming!

Once again, the certificate posted on on the website at: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/06/obama-birth.html

is NOT, and I repeat is NOT a "Birth Certificate". It is a "Certificate of Live Birth" which is different from a "Birth Certificate". You will notice that there is no hospital named, nor is there any name of an attending physician, information that appears on ALL valid vault (long-form) Birth Certificates.

What is pictured is a "Certificate of Live Birth", which the State of Hawaii allowed parents of children born in foreign countries to file for and receive.

As for your purported John McCain's Birth Certificate, that is a total and complete piece of B.S. John McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone at Military Hospital, Not in the Mombasa General Hospital which is in Kenya.

Thanks for the clear up! Yet, I still have not seen anything that anyone else has provided regarding a Kenyan birth certificate for President Obama let alone a Panama Canal birth certificate for Senator McCain. Therefore, could you please send me a link or other documentation that states such? Lord knows that you cannot believe everything you read on the internet and I agree that this is getting out of control. With all of the misinformation out there, how is one to tell what is legit and what is a falacy?

I'm sure that there is some legit news out there. I guess we're both trying to find it.

Let's not forget that everything that is read on the internet is not "fact". The Patriot is a conservative site and therefore, would fall under the same catergory as Most Rev Gregori's comment as "BS". We all have our opinions and we can be measuring one another's "Johnson's" until the cows come home.

I have a question: did you know that the insurance company gains over the past 7 years has been over 400%? That's an increase of $10B! Did you also know that the number of people who have health insurance decreased by 12%?

Out of the $12.5B that the insurance and pharmaceutical companies are making, I can say with certainty that I did not see any of that money in my current health care.

Also, Medicare and Medicade are both run by the government. Recently, my uncle had undergone a knee replacement in his 80's. He did not have to pay one penny for the work. I had kidney stones back in 2003 and had to pay approximately $2,345.65 (don't quote me, because I cannot remember if it was .65 or .56) for an abundance of doctor visits.

I can only speak for myself, but I bet that was a pretty pricey bill for anyone. Therefore, what is everyone so afraid of? After all, unless you are the person whose pockets are lined with the billions from the insurance and pharmaceutical companies, I think that we all have something to gain here.

Oh, I'm sure that a "deficit" comment will be added here. It took 8 years of GWB to get us here and it's going to cost money to make money (just like FDR did to get us out of the Depression). I think that we came out of that OK.

Godspeed.

Lutheran Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Destruction of the embryo in the mother's womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed upon this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder.
