My Rule for Life

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is.

These are the times...

I was surfing the tube the morning of the 4th.  I cliked on one of my favorite channels, The History Channel.  It was in the middle of a semi-documentary story of the Revolutionary War.  As has been said before, timing is everything.  In this case that statement was certainly true.

I tuned in as General Washington was about to loose many of his soldiers because their enlistments were up.  Also, what I believe to be a little known fact was he had signed an order, at the insistence of some southern states prohibiting Negroes from serving in the Army.  General Washington, himself a slave owner but, also a soldier knew the value of the Negro soldier.  In raw numbers they comprised approximately 13% of his fighting force.  They were a motivated soldier as enlistment meant freedom. With the potential of loosing 50% of his enlistees and his Negro soldiers surly the cause of freedom for the newly formed United States of would be lost.

Seeing the situation of a de-moralized Army and citizenry who had witnessed several recent defeats Statesman and then war corespondent, Thomas Paine again took up the challenge  and cause.  Paine well known co-author of the Constitution and the Federalist Papers wrote and published The American Crisis.

The purpose of this post.  Never before, save, it original purpose does this document need to be read to all Americans. The hardship these Americans faced were nearly insurmountable. We face a like insurmountable challenge now. It needs to be read over and over and over until as with its original intent all Americans come together for the need of this great country we are all blessed to live in.

All Americans, be they black, white, red, yellow, or brown of skin, be they from Africa, the middle east, Asia, or Europe we need to come together.  No longer for the good of ourselves however, for the good of this great nation we all call America. Not for ourselves we need to make the sacrifices but for the younger generations of Americans who deserve the same opportunities we have had.

Those of us who have traveled to impoverished foreign countries with  no running water or no electric need to convey, na, convince our neighbors, friends and anyone who has not seen this type of poverty.  We need to make them understand even our poorest of poor are far better off than those we have seen.  Those of us who have worked in major metropolitan Emergency Rooms need to convince those who push for unconstitutional health care taxes there is health-care for all Americans.  Taxing every Us Citizen is not the answer.  Those of us who hold down jobs and work to earn our way must convey to the "occupiers the checkbook will run out of money.  America will go down and no one will be safe.  It will be survival of the biggest, baddest and fittest.  If America falls the occupiers weak willed  mentality will be the first to be enslaved.

I request to you my fellow bloggers not just to read this post and and the "American in Crisis" but forwarded it to every site, person, friend liberal, progressive and a few people you don't know.  Post the link on your blog, or web site.  Circulate it like never before have you circulated.  As staunch a  Christian Conservative as I am we must come together with many many Americans or face destruction of America as we have known it.  We must not become another Rome, Ottoman Empire, or Great Britain.  We must not, we must not stand  by and be led down the path to that of a 3rd rate nation.  If America fails, the world fails as there in no place on Earth left to go.

God Bless America and God Bless you all!

Amen, and amen again. Sadly though I think it may be too late. But we can try, it's worth nothing less.

I fear the majority of Americans no longer care about anything BUT themselves. We will see in November if I am wrong (I hope I am)

Good Post

Lutheran Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Destruction of the embryo in the mother's womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed upon this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder.
