My Rule for Life

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is.

Reaganomics is the Reason

As some time happens I receive an email from "our" blogging friend Elizabeth of New York, New York. Of course she professes not to be a die hard liberal and, I believe her. She has a good sense of humor and has expressed her heart felt condolences at the passing of ABNMOMMA. I have said more than once she really is a Conservative inside and just looking for a way to cross the bridge. For a brief moment the other day I thought she had made it. She sent me an article about President Ronald Reagan! I tell you my heart skipped a beat until.......

The New York Times* (The New York Liberal Times?)
Op Ed Contributor
Paul Krugman
Published: May 31,2009

A picture of Mr. Krugman was above the article as was his blog:
The Conscience of a Liberal

I remembered the face and it caused a bell to go off in my head. I couldn't remember why or what for. The blog title should have been a dead give-a-way! When in doubt call on the most informative source you can find, Wikipedia!** After reading I remembered Mr. Krugman.

Mr. Krugman, a self proclaimed liberal, goes to great lengths to explain the current financial problems The United States of America isin is the result of President Reagan's economic policies. Mr. Krugman has all the "right" letters behind his name. He also has enough degrees to wallpaper my house. He is in all rights a learned man. He even served a year on President Reagan's Council of Economic Advisers. I guess if this current mess is President Reagan's fault Mr. Krugman didn't give him very good advice! Mr. Krugman is also the recipient of a Nobel prize. Now there is something to be proud of. Didn't Jimmie Carter and Al Gore get one of them trophies?

Now I am not debating Mr. Krugman on his economic prowess. Mamma raised an ugly child not a stupid one however, I do believe his opinion may be slightly slanted. I had an Economics Professor in college who told his class, "you can find a correlation between the number of babies born in China and the temperature in New York City. All you have to do is play with the numbers long enough." I believe my professor. You know, come to think of it there was a guy that reminds me a little of Mr. Krugman in that class.......ah.....nah.......ya think so?

Thank you for the article Elizabeth.

Nobody wants to admit Sen. Dodd's, Barack Obama's and Rep. Barney Frank's deep involvement and cause of the mess we are in.

It is easier to blame Reagan, Bush, the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, etc., because the liberals will eat it up.

It's amazing to me how Reaganomics is blamed for this mess...Back during the Reagan administration, we were living quite nicely on less than half of what we make now. But now we don't have the AC on because we can't afford the $300 dollar electric bill....hmmm. What's wrong with this picture? Could it be that Reaganomics really worked?! Let's see, let me keep more of my money to run my house the way I want to or let the government have my money to spend on bridges to islands with 25 inhabitants, or highways to towns with no one in them.....Yep, I'll take Reaganomics everytime!!!!
Be blessed Pops. Shalom, Spitfire

Economic policies don't just have immediate effects; they have long term effects.

Elizabeth has a good point! Just think how bad the economy will be in 20 more years with OB's current spend, spend, spend.

Lutheran Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Destruction of the embryo in the mother's womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed upon this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder.
