My Rule for Life

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is.

Out of the mouths of babes

I get these emails once in a while and seldom pass them on. However, since my daughter is a teacher by degree, not by profession (mom by profession, stay at home one) I had to pass this on. It makes for such a good post. It also may hint as to what our public schools are going to.

Enjoy one little girls thoughts!

One Nation, 'Under God. '

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a

classroom. The teacher was going to explain
evolution to the children. The teacher asked
a little boy: Tommy do you see the tree

TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass

TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see

if you can see the sky.

TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes

later) Yes, I saw the sky.

TEACHER: Did you see God up there?

TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see

God because he isn't there. Possibly he just
doesn't exist..

A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the

boy some questions.

The teacher agreed and the little girl asked

the boy: Tommy, do you see the tree

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass

TOMMY: Yessssss!

LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?

TOMMY: Yessssss!

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the

LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain?

LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we

were taught today in school, she possibly
may not even have one!

(You Go Girl!)

Love the girl's train of thought. Now if we could teach more of our kids to think that way....perhaps we could change some of this 'change' none of us's a thought.

Thanks for your comments Pops. I know Papa has it all under control and I trust that He'll draw eldest son to Him in His own time. But your comments give me comfort. Thanks again. Shalom, Spitfire

There are a lot of incompetent teachers out there, but for me to believe this happened I would need some verification. Who was the teacher, where and when did this occur?

Pops,to answer the question you left on my blog, yes, Obama did break the law, but the problem is, it is Congress that has to bring articles of Impeachment against the President, and since Congress (both Houses) is controlled by the Democrats, it is highly unlikely that they will bring articles of Impeachment against their own.

Oh Elizabeth, You naysayer! Don't you get the point? Be faithful and BELIEVE IN GOD!. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there!

Good point on my question. Having said that I wish some Conservative would at least stand up and call for it!

Can you help Elizabeth? As you both know I am not nearly as learned as you two and for sure not as articulate. She appears to be having trouble grasping the concept.

Elizabeth; All I can say is that if you question EVERYTHING and only accept what you touch, see and feel, you limit yourself and miss out on so much of the beauty and wonder in the world around you. Sometimes we just have to rely on faith.

Hi Pops,
This is off topic, but I know that you are concerned with Israel's survival so I popped over (sorry) with a couple of links. The first is a video of Senator Robert Menendez' speech in support of Jewish rights to Israel. He also gives our president a history lesson.

If you don't feel like sitting through the speech, the full text of the speech is at the following link.:

Thanks for the links. Sorry about not getting back to you quicker. I believe I will print and read. It sinks in a little better into this grey haired brain. HEY! And thanks for stopping by.

Oh yes, See MRG, I told you, you were better at explaining it to Liz than I. She hasn't come back with a rebuttal! Oooohhh Liz, where forth at thou?

I assume the two of you are joking.

Lutheran Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Destruction of the embryo in the mother's womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed upon this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder.
