I am impressed by your comment and would have attributed that to a more older fellow than 14. You and the Andy's of America give us "seasoned citizens" hope for the greatest country on Earth.

Please stop by and comment as often as you like. The fact you found the pik and have used 1Peter on your computer as a reminder is fantastic.

God Bless You,

PopsABNPOPPAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13790538722982753032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973889858777720002.post-78940390999519354252011-01-04T23:05:48.740-08:002011-01-04T23:05:48.740-08:00Just thought i'd give some more info on the in...Just thought i'd give some more info on the interview.

Erin Andrews asked Andy how he felt winning the game, as many of the ESPN experts said, "not just for your team but for ALL the underdog teams in college football." To which he responded with a sentence or two then recited the verse 1 Peter 5:6, which says: "Humble yourself, and under God's mighty hand He will exalt you in due time." which he immediately followed by saying "and I think that's what happened tonight."

I am a sophmore in high school and found it very impressive to see someone have such awareness of God in his life and at a moment like that, much like I try to. I was so inspired that I searched and acctually found a picture of Andy Dalton pointing to the sky in victory. I saved the pic and then typed the same verse on the background. I then set it as my wallpaper and will keep it there for the rest of my high school years.

Jack
South DakotaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973889858777720002.post-38294049279413235732011-01-04T15:48:08.015-08:002011-01-04T15:48:08.015-08:00Valerie,

Thank you for your comment. That's wha...Paul,

Thank you for your comment. That's what this blog is all about. People and their opinions. I'll be the first to admit I really wasn't paying attention to the interview until I heard Andy say "First Peter says..." In my ever so humble opinion the interviewer's expression changed, in your it didn't. None the less, it was comforting and wonderful to hear a young college athlete quote the Bible on national TV with a huge audience. Don't you agree?

I hope you will come back often and become a follower. I thought the interviewer was going to pass out. The look on his face was, PRICELESS."

However for accuracies sake I feel compelled to Dalton quoted that passage when he was being interviewed by ESPN report Erin Andrews, a woman, and she did not skip a beat, she was very professional, and she simply moved on to her next question.

People will always attack public displays of faith, so I feel that its important to be as accurate as possible when defending said public displays of faith.

Paul
San DiegoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973889858777720002.post-51589970149046607102011-01-02T18:27:08.838-08:002011-01-02T18:27:08.838-08:00Z, Like I said, GREAT minds think alike.
